Designed specifically for working professionals, the MBA program at Weber State University in Utah offers one of the most flexible degree tracks around, allowing students to switch between full-time and part-time study at any time. With eight-week courses taught one night per week, the Goddard School MBA Program requires a “relatively low financial and time investment” and is “challenging enough to teach… something useful while recognizing that most students work full time,” according to one student. “The experience is just what I wanted it to be: practical.”
Registration is “simple,” and “classes are scheduled to accommodate program progress without being in a cohort.” There are six class blocks per year, and students can take a block off or take multiple classes in a block, and “can also take courses in any order as long as you have the prerequisites.” The quality of instruction and the depth of professors’ knowledge are “high,” and teachers “bring a lot of outside experience to the table.” The material they use is up to date and relevant, and if students “have questions or need additional help outside class, they are available.” “They treat us like the working adults we are,” says a student.
The administration is “very focused on the success of the students,” are “very responsive,” and “seem to have an honest desire to help students.” The course schedules are released early, and individuals in the administration put in “consistent effort on their part to make clear where their offices are, what their respective roles are, and how best they can be contacted.”
