On-Campus MBA
Our On-Campus MBA is a 37-credit, two-year fully funded residential program offered at the University of Massachusetts Amherst flagship campus. In your first year, you'll focus on a core curriculum designed to provide a strong foundation in a wide range of business topics and skills such as accounting, finance, analytics, marketing, operations, and negotiations. In the second year, you can explore your personal interests by pursuing a focus area or by creating your own independent study and working one-on-one with some of the foremost business scholars in the world.
Optional 9-credit focus areas equip you with knowledge and skills in a specific area of interest to propel you into the job you desire upon graduation. Choose from existing focus options—business analytics, entrepreneurship, finance, healthcare administration, and marketing—or build your own Specialized Business Focus tailored to your needs.
You can also combine your MBA with a master of science by completing 31-35 credits towards another degree program simultaneously. Isenberg partners with other programs at UMass-Amherst to offer the following options:

Online MBA
Able to be completed in as few as 2 years, the Isenberg Online MBA curriculum includes 11 required core courses that cover all aspects of business from accounting to business law. You will also choose from a broad range of electives that will enrich your education, helping you ultimately create a bigger impact in your area of interest. If you would like to add a focused expertise to your MBA, you can specialize in business analytics, entrepreneurship, finance, healthcare administration, or marketing.
The Isenberg Online MBA is perfect for working professionals looking to make a bigger impact in their industry without taking time off to complete a full-time program. Combining the high-quality curriculum of our On-Campus MBA program with the flexibility of the online platform, the Isenberg Online MBA provides world-class learning tailored to your schedule and timetable. If you live in the Massachusetts area and prefer to complement your online learning with some face-to-face exposure to materials, faculty, and colleagues, our Online MBA with in-person option is for you. Many of Isenberg's 50,000+ alumni serve as mentors, guest lecturers, and network connectors for Isenberg graduate students. The MBA program has more than 7,000 alums, many of whom work in Boston and New York City.
Beginning in 2021, all graduate students will have access to I-Connect, an online professional development platform offered by Isenberg's Office of Career Success. Through this platform, students will be able to in participate in virtual career development workshops and access resources such as resume and interview guides, recordings of workshops and alumni panels, and job opportunities.
Our recent graduates have secured positions at top companies like Cigna, Citi Group, FedEx, Johnson
and Johnson, KPMG, MassMutual, and Thermo Fisher Scientific. According to U.S. News & World Report 2021 rankings, the average salary and signing bonus within three months of graduation for graduates of Isenberg's On-Campus MBA program was $131,388, while the average debt was only $18,328.
